I've had a system in my truck for a little over a month and it's been working fine. Then last night I started to lose my front driver side speakers. They would go on and off, and the volume of the system would spike and drop. I assumed at first the amp was going bad and today I smelled burning from it. I went to a back-up amp but even with a different amp installed I am having the same problems. The issues are: excessive alternator whine, loud thumping through subs when attaching front or rear speaker RCA's, and now continuity with power to RCA's. I've never even considered this but while checking connection and what not found this was happening. This isn't normal is it? If not what would cause it?
