Message: <blockquote data-quote="helotaxi" data-source="post: 2902463" data-attributes="member: 550915"><p>Your "2V" outputs will never reach 2V.  Measure the RCA output right at the deck without he RCAs connected and you'll see that you aren't losing any signal.  To lose .9V you would need resistance on the order of thousands of ohms in the RCA (simply not the case) or many amps of current flowing (again not the case).  The bottom line is that you're putting way too much trust in the specs of your deck.  Not saying that it's a bad deck just the the 2V preout spec is the max that you will ever see and that's with bass and treble at max and loudness on.  Real world, you'll never see it.  Just set you amp gain accordingly.  It might mean that it's close to max.  If that's where it needs to be, then it's fine.</p></blockquote><p></p>
