Who do you think would win this race? My '90 S-10 with a 4.3, K&N filter, MSD plug wires, a shift kit, and a "misplaced" muffler. Or my friends '01 ranger with the 3.0, a flowmaster 40-series, and a K&N filter?

Oh, sorry. We both have automatics. Mine's a 700R-4 with a shift kit from first to second, and i have no idea what my friend's is. It's the stock tranny though.

Racing that durango was a rush, too. That was the time i've gotten the fastest in my truck, 95. Although i can prolly do better. That was on a regular street too. Although i can't tell how fast i go now cause my speedo's broke (**** digital gauges). Can anybody fix my gauges for cheap? yeah, i dont' think rangers have great acceleration. don't know the stock specs, but both of you don't have any major enhancements in the engines, seems like u'll win.

I know my engine is bigger, but his truck is 11 years newer than mine. And also has 95,000 less miles. Plus i think my truck is heavier. So that kind of evens things out.

Well, it might be a while before we get a chance to race. We are both in school, me in indiana and him at Wyotech, so it may not be until spring break at the earliest. But i'll keep you posted.

I go to Valpo. And if he was to do anything to his truck he'd prolly let me know. His current project is a Willy's.
