[QUOTE="ryanfreeland, post: 6871045, member: 623099"] I'm just entering the world of car audio, so please forgive me if my questions sound really stupid. I've pretty much decided to power all my speakers with an amp instead of just the head unit. I have Alpine Type-S 6x9's in the back and will soon upgrade the 6.5's in the front to either Alpine Type-R's or something comparable. I have a 2000 Honda Prelude, so I'm planning on putting a 1x12 woofer in the back. Two would just be too tight of a fit. Anyway, I was reading some threads around the forum and saw that the Crescendo 1000C4 has a good rep around here as a 4-channel amp. Here's my question: Can I power all my speakers with this one amp? I'm assuming each speaker needs it's own output, but bridging 2 channels together would increase the output of the sub.. so with a total of 5 speakers, would I actually need a 4-channel amp for the speakers and a mono amp for the sub?
