Here you are trying to prove yourself in a setting like this??? HA HA HA! Here we have it ladies and gentleman! The toughest of tough guys! A real lady killer! You name it, he has it! Big money! Fancy cars! Hot women! Gobs of knowledge! We know so because he said so on an INTERNET FORUM! Here he is... AUDIOHOLIC in the flesh!! Anyways, my question was about how involved the battery is once the car is started and if one is any better than another when the motor is running if the alt can handle the load. I started thinking about this upon reading about Kinetik. My alt sems to run hotter as I increase the amp load as per my laser thermometer. Plus, whenever I bench test an alt (done this a couple of times) it is hot as hell to the touch when the test is over. On top of that, the more capable the alt, the cooler they seem to run compared to the less capable alt at any given amp load...again as per the laser thermometer. I am not an alt expert, but heat seems to be the enemy and the "bigger" the alt the less heat I see.
