I had posted this under a different thread but wanted to repost it because it really ended up being a bit off from what the thread topic was, and I couldn't edit the topic name. First off, I really do appreciate the help so far and I'd like to thank the people who actually reply and help out and aren't responding with "you noob shut up" I'm working hard to learn as much as possible. My question is: Everything I've read and seen says that the m650 amp by alpine is only 4ohm or 2ohm, but I had thought that the ohms all depended on how the wires to the subs were run. I've looked at all the different wiring diagrams for running subs at different ohms, but is there more to it than that? Ohms are the one thing that have always confused me about subs and amps and I was hoping to get some more help on understanding how it all worked. I've searched the forums and can't really find anything that's answered all my questions on them. As an example, I have two 12 type r-s and only one m650. I get a huge discount on the m650 amp so that's why I have it. I was thinking about picking up a second amp when my financial situation gets straightened out. How would these amps apply to be wired to the subs to get the most benefit? Would it even be worth it to get another m650 or am I not even going to be able to wire it so that I could get the full 600 watts to each sub, when I first asked about my setup someone said that it'd probably sound better with one sub hooked up to the one amp but that I'd still only get 425 watts because I couldn't hook it up to get the full ohms. Please could I get some help, I'm so confused on how this all works, sorry for being a noob but I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks
