[QUOTE="yne721, post: 1758863, member: 563261"] Hi, I have a 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, and i'm having problems with the electrical system. I purchased this vehicle from my uncle, who installed a rediculous ammount of aftermarket electrical stuff on it, including Power Mirrors, Power Windows, Cruise Control, Power Locks, and an Air Conditioner and it's causing a strain on my electrical system. The headlights are always dim, but sometimes the headlights will get really bright for a fraction of a second then go back to 'normal'. Also the power windows go up and down extremely slow(to the point i can't raise or lower more than one at a time). I do plan on investing in a H.O Alt. once i have the money, and once i find one that is a direct bolt in replacement, but until then i was wondering if you think the Big 3 will help this problem? I would like to add that at this point I don't have an audio system installed in my car(other than stock) but in the near future I would really like to install a couple 8'' subs, and a pair of component speakers, obviously with the amps needed to power them.
