Don't get an opinion on how the PS3 is at a store because the stores only run their setups on smaller LCD's that support 720p resolution only. I owned an xbox 360 in the past and believe they both have their advantages. While the 360 seemed more online friendly, I enjoy playing multiplayer with friends more on the playstation 3 (much easier to see and the games don't run too much slower). The 360 to me was too objective by getting points and all and took away some of the fun factor. My friend picked up a wii, and I believe that's probably the most fun out of the three, but for an overall package, the PS3 blows the competition away with the blu-ray player and being able to surf the internet on your ps3. Every system has their strength and weakness, it's all about what you want most. For me, I'm a computer gamer, so the PS3 is more appealing in that you can use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and in the future, will be able to game with those. I still am more of a movie watcher than game player, and I refuse to pay 1000.00 retail for JUST a samsung blu-ray player when the ps3 has the gaming concept as well.
Well I bought my playstation 3 (not the 20gb) for just over a thousand (could care less about money) and have to say that it is well worth the 600 dollar price tag. I also bought a KDL-52XBR3 sony TV for just under 7,000.00 and I must say, 1080p is truly unbelievable. Don't get an opinion on how the PS3 is at a store because the stores only run their setups on smaller LCD's that support 720p resolution only. Comparing 1080p from Blu-Ray movies to standard DVD's is a joke, I will never watch a normal DVD again. Although I personaly am not interested in any of the games currently out for PS3, besides CoD3, the future games will only get better.
