Hey guys I have been in the audio scene for 3 years now but I have had the same system for the last two years and now I have encountered a problem now that I have a new replacement amp in the picture. My current setup is: 2 12" RE audio custom hybrid dvc 1000 watt rms subs in 4.4 cu ft. 32 hz ported box.( running the 2 subs at 2 ohms) Hifonics 1000 watt amp Pioneer deck(dont know the exact model..it was $200 last year when i got it) It all works great. I could never complain except for a bigger amp. My friend gives me his audiobahn a1600v amp that works but is too much for him. I hook it up exactly how my hifonics is and it shows the protection light and power light on. the digital meter on the amp shows 14 +/- constant. If my hifonics works but the audiobahn doesnt, what does that mean? not enough current for the amp? I put new fuses in the audiobahn but that didnt do anything. tried hookin up just the batt, rem, and grd and still protection light is on.
