good ol samwise

it looks realy good off my laptop.

why would u think thas why it looks bad?

the camera makes it look that way,

i promise it looks fine

as budahbuddy

thank u for the link on the specs.

YES it can handle 1080i. atleast thats what the specs say.

i dont think for 400 u can get a better projector that i guarantee will work when u receive it.

and has relatively low lamp hours.

yea i don't know why I typed composite, i knew something didn't look right. I guess I was tired. If you still have it after X-mas, I may pick it up. Send me some specs and pics fo the Kenwood receiver that you have also...

those pictures do not do that projector justice. I have witnessed a movie or two on that thing over at his house and it is a very good projector. I dont think anyone has had problems with this guy and if they do i will personally go over to his ballin ass crib and beat his ass!

Blinkdogo aka john is a great guy!

it will support 1080i but will display it at 1024x768. 1080i is 1920x1080. Even 720p is 1280x720. It supports it but will still only show at 1024x768 max resolution since that is native for it and 4:3 is native.

Regardless, it is a DLP and will still have an awesome pic. DLP has something like 800,000 little mirrors that rotate to give the specific color and dark or white and use a color wheel which spins really fast. It is a cool technology and I like the looks of DLP better then LCD since there are no bleed lines compared to LCD. Plus DLP uses a replaceable bulb so you can always get hi brightness by replacing the bulb with absolutely no worries of burn it what so ever //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So with that, a pretty cool projector //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

well, in all my geekness, here are some pics of the DLP. The first pic is of one of almostt 800,000 mirrors on the chip below (newer DLP's have like 1.2 million of the little itty bitty tiny mirrors)

in the pic below the actual silver part in the middle houses the gazillion mirrors and is about the same size as a CPU die (like 1/2" x 3/8")
