where i attach the power cable to the battery terminal has become messed up.. like the stock harness that controls all of the cars electrical functions is ok... but the screw overhangs about 5-10 millimeters and previously i was able to simply hook the power cable on this overhang and tighten a nut over it to make it nice and firm well aparently somehow it grounded out and the screw past the stock harness has literally melted off... the threading melted off and now the nut holding on the power cable is very loose but stuck on there... the power cable is still attached, but EXTREMLY loose... like i can wiggle it all around and its very loosely connected... but the nut that holds it in place has the thread melted around its own threading and now it wont come off! whenever i try to take it off to release the stock harness it wont come out... the threading is just gone and melted into the other nuts threading... now my system still works... pounds as hard as ever... but will this affect anything? im mostly worried about the loose connection causing the battery to drain ? to be honist the only time i listen to my system is rides to and from campus and the last thing i want is to be stranded on i-95
