Yeah.. it seems as though everyone is having much better luck with their RSD's. I did buy mine NEW from Sonic Electronics and Woofers Etc. Bought a set of Components and also the matching coaxials. I've been wondering, are these resellers pushing 2nd grade products, because I have quality issues with both. One set came with one of the rubber surround starting to peel off, atleast a half inch of it was not seated or glued to the basket. I had to get some Aleene's glue to fix that myself since I did not want to have to wait and do the whole RMA thing which might have taken more time than for the glue to dry. The other set came in with one of the surrounds depressed concaved and uneven. Like half of the surround was 1/4 inch high and the other half was closer to 1/8 inch high. If you ran your fingers around the surround, you could feel the variations of stress points where the surround was tighter in some areas than others. Is this normal? This appears to be pretty crappy in terms of Quality Assurance from the factory, which leads me to believe that some of these online dealers are peddling factory seconds. I can't confirm this but from my recent experience, it sure looks that way. A friend of mine, whom I recommended the RSD's to also ordered from another online retailer and his arrived with the similar type of issue with his surround. What's the deal with these? A big concern of mine is.. this popping from the leftside 6.5 driver, sounds like bottoming out. The rightside driver does not do this. All this is happening at reasonable volumes? Is it blown or defective?
