Regardless of whether or not they have crossovers included in their builds both of those are truly nice amps. eBay 'em if you're short on cash but otherwise, were it me and I had those and couldn't use them for my current setup I'd hang onto them for another time when I could. Of course the stereo shop guy is going to suggest you make a purchase from him to cure all your ills! That's simply being a salesman. If you are wanting to power the speakers with the output from the amp(s) then what people have been telling you is exactly right. The speakers cannot utilize the output from the amplifier if the speakers are not connected to the amplifier. From what I am reading in your post I would say the lack of proper wiring is more than half your problem, friend. Not trying to bag on you, fella, simply stating fact. As previously stated - both are good amps. If the lack of internal crossover presents a problem it can be easily solved by the introduction of an outboard crossover into your setup or the purchase of a head unit that has internal processing adequate for your needs.
