You could take the faceplate apart and check the button and possible corrosion on contact points. If its not in the faceplate then the motor and faceplate moving assembly may be jammed or broken in the main unit. Its possible that a spring did break. If your not comfortable taken your player apart then contact Alpine or nearest authorized service center.</p></blockquote><p></p>
