<blockquote data-quote="Ichibanda" data-source="post: 5038735" data-attributes="member: 602243">Hi All-Just signed up and this is my first post here.&nbsp; My wife bought a car stereo for me and had it installed for my birthday a while back.&nbsp; It was just a simple cheap one and you all our probably going to laugh hard but I can not get it to work.It was installed at some shop into my truck and worked well for the first week.&nbsp; Then I detached the faceplate and took it in the house with me one night nad the next morning it did not work.I took it back to the guys who installed it.&nbsp; They went out and came back in to second and just said it was the anti theft device and simple needed to be reset.So all was good worked another few days and then I detached it again just the face plate mind you so it did not get stolen.&nbsp; Well, it is not working again.&nbsp; I feel stupid to bring it back again and wondering if anyone here has any idea how to reset it?I have done it once before by just hitting every dang button on the thing and must have done something becuase it worked again for a few weeks.&nbsp; But lo and behold not working again and now I am pretty fed up.&nbsp; PRetty much just want to go and buy some super cheap stereo and install myself so at least I know what is going on.Anyway it is an Almani ALCD 801.&nbsp; I don&#039;t have the instruction manual but I figured someone ehre on the forum might know how to get this thing working again.&nbsp; The faceplate detaches and reattaches just fine.&nbsp; However it just doesn&#039;t turn on?&nbsp; Is there some kind of anti theft or reset device does that make any sense?I feel like such a noob back int he day I could install car steros and prided myself on knowing what to do.&nbsp; However that was YEARS ago before detachable faceplates.&nbsp; Yes there was a time back when they had square wheels and non detachable radios.&nbsp; Anyway everything has changed now and I have no clue!&nbsp; I would just love to be able to listen to the radio, a cd or connect my mp3 player using the radio and cigarette lighter adapter I have.&nbsp; That would be sooo cool for me.Thanks in advance.</blockquote>
