I haven't looked at the Scosche wire you're referring to because they make varying sizes and different qualities in those sizes. What is the fuse by the battery rated for? If you can run another 8 gauge line or even better take out the current one and install a 4 gauge run to a distribution block down to 2 8 gauge runs that'd be better.
