I got nailed by the main 480VAC feed into the house when it first was switched on...this being the electrical system that "passed" code inspection the week before. I woke up on the other side of the room, with no clear recollection how I got there Bastages - turned out a staple in the window mounting frame had shorted a section of 12awg Romex, and the main panel bypassed the breakers (geniuses...true geniuses). Worst shock I ever got, and I'd prefer not to repeat that. I worked on a friend's kW RF deck in his HF amplifier...that thing was fun, had something like 3200V modulating the plates of the tubes. I worked with a hand in my pocket and sweat on my face, wondering what would happen if I dropped a wrench in there... It's really not that much - you're mostly water and electrolytes anyway, so you make a dandy conductor. I should see what I measure across my rings...never done that, but would be curious to see if I actually have a conducting path there
