okay i just got some stuff from Phoenix Gold and need to figure out what the hell to put in my expedition. i have a 130 amp alternator thats stock with my expedition and i'm running about 2500 watts. I will have stiffening caps and stuff too like four farads or something but i have no idea what the hell to do about power from the alternator. These amps are gonna be drawing like hell im sure. im gonna have like two of these things here: the phoenix gold OCTANE-R 15.0:1 (2 of these) and an OCTANE-R 8.0:4. Im running four fifteen inch titanium elites and a i have some other crap in there too like a voltge reader thingy and a big honkin *** EQ all PG stuff oh yeah and some 6.5" components. I think i might be rethingking the Octane R 15.0:1 and going with the Octane R 30.0:1 but for now im just needing to power the 15.0:1's any ideas as to where to even get an alternator for this kind of stuff that wont **** up my truck? Phonix Gold doesnt sell them any more so i need to get a beefy one. Can i just snatch up one out of like a cop car or an ambulance in a junkyard or is that just ****ing stupid. and also how many amps am i gonna need to run this stuff like a champ? thanks all, im new to this stuff so any help appreciated. also is there a good angle to fire the subs so i dont phase out? a wall is not an option so the installer wants to fire them straight up PG said they will phase from a return sound wave reflecting off of the roof. any ideas on what angles will eliminate the phase factor. thanks again Boomsta
