I have a 05 accord I installed a stereo into. I installed two amps, one is 150 watts powering a 300 10" subwoofer. The second is a 200 watt amp powering four cabin speakers (6x9", 6.5"). I kept the stock stereo head unit, and used a line out converter due to no RCA preouts. Upon receipt of the car, I had noticed a continual hissing sound in the speakers, when music is at low volume. It is similar to the sound a tape player makes when you press play. Could this be feedback or interference caused by the line out converter? If so, is there anything I can do to fix the problem? Is there any honda factory head units that have RCA preouts? I am trying to avoid using a custom head unit, due to unwanted attention that may be attracted by potential thieves. Right now everything is hidden, and looks 100% stock from the outside, I would prefer to keep it that way.
