Value to the seller is never what is in question, what's in question is value to potential buyers. Otherwise, my old jockstrap I kept from highschool is worth a million... no... a billion dollars. Believe me, I get where you are coming from, I wouldn't want the classified to turn into an opinion forum, but I just keep thinking if someone ever questioned my price on something I was selling, Id either see it as an opportunity to point out what a great price Im offering it at, or explain that it is worth the higher than average price because of the immaculate condition its in, the mods Ive done to it, or the fact that Steve Meade's maid's cousin's boyfriend signed it. The only people I see having issue with someone questioning their price would be people who are asking too much, and have no reasonable explanation as to why. Many of those people simply dont realize they are asking more than someone can buy it new on ebay for, and the rest who just want to try and lure in a sucker can go to ebay and sell it instead. I dont feel super strongly about this, if it stays no post dumping in the classified, I'll completely understand. Im just curious if things would still run smoothly without it.
