[QUOTE="hispls, post: 8157665, member: 614752"] Throwing 3 or 4 stiff spiders on a woofer doesn't make it "handle 1800 RMS" whatever an RMS is. Motor 50-55$ Frame 25-50$ (50 would be for Ti or LA Storm style frame) Coil 20-40$ Spider(s) 3-10$ Cone 10-20$ Glue-dustcap-solder, misc 4-10$ Even on the generous side, assuming you had a Ti or LA storm frame on this and a TC aluminum cone and 10" spiders on this 225 is about top value in parts, and that's at prices that can be had regularly, not prices that you'd have to really know somebody to see. In fact when TC had their bankruptcy, the TC2000's were selling there for 210$ or so (TC9 motor with 10" spiders, spacers, aluminum cone, etc). 250$ range is what you would be asking for TC3hp based sub.... in short, TC9 motors are a dime a dozen and PSi doesn't sell magic softparts, just overpriced average fare from China. I assure you I've build plenty of TC9's and sold them for 125-150 (I have a couple FS now). I burped one with 6Kw but that does NOT mean that they can handle that much power without failing fast. In fact assuming you do find someone fool enough to give you more than 200$ on a TC9 you're really not going to want to lead them to believe that any coil you can fit in that motor will hold more than 1200W continuous power without failing thermally.
