the old w6's are louder then the w6v2's???? hmmm you are the first person i have ever heard say taht. it is also not true. my local shop ran 2 12w6's in the same scenario as 2 12w6v2's and the v2's blew them out of the water in SPL and SQ. maybe the one you heard was a bad install??? It just means Version 2. They are the new and revised w6 carrying some of the characteristics of the w7, but far from being the w7. Some say the w6v2 out performs the w7....but dependson the install/power sent to the sub. Everybody on here has their own opinions and a lot of the people dont like JL Audio, mainly because of there prices. Some just go along with everybody else and dont like them because the "big guys" dont. You listen around and you buy what you like....dont worry about what other people say. If u get a chance to listen to the w6v2 and decide you like it and want it...im just saying my offer is still up for you. Im not out there saying like most people...buy my sub its better. Im fair....I believe the 12w6v2 is a great mix of SQ and SPL....but thats opinion too.
