Alright, I was playing Guitar Hero 2 with a couple of friends about a week and a half ago. One of the chicks slipped on the Guitar Hero controller and sent the system crashing into the a concrete floor from 2 1/2 feet up. Well, Guitar Hero 2 doesnt play right any more and periodically freezes up. There is a very peculiar marking/scratch on the disc of Guitar Hero 2 but it doesnt quite seem like enough to be the reason it messes up. However, I've played San Andreas and some other ATV game on it and neither one has messed up yet. I'm still concerned though that the console itself is messed up because I don't play any of the other games enough to make a real determination. Is there any way to check the console for flaws in its disc reading without taking it somewhere or sending it in? Also, does it even sound plausible that the disc got scratched inside the console when it fell? Does anyone know how much it would cost to get it fixed versus buying a new one? I dont really expect anyone to know for sure on here but I figured Id give it a shot. Oh, and I already offered to take ****** pleasures in place of cash but that was a no go.
