The past couple months I've been putting together different options for my new budget setup I plan on starting this spring/early summer. The vehicle is going to be an '03 Grand Cherokee. I am open to suggestions on a set of components. With whatever set I purchase I'll most likely turn to Cadence to power them . My budget here is between $100-150. I am not too familiar with component sets so any help is appreciated. I will also do research on this to get the latest update on what's up. But for now suggestions are welcome! For the headunit I'm looking at: Pioneer DEH-P410UB. My choice changes everyday, but I'm leaning towards Pioneer Headunits since I've had one before and it worked like a charm. Now for the low end. I'm almost dead set on a pair of AQ SDC2.5 15"s powered by the AQ 1200. I'm shooting for something around 7-7.5^2 after disp. for both and tuned around 38Hz. I saw a thread by mlstrass where he did a setup for a friend just like this, but the box was 8.5^2. The job he did was fantastic, and I'm hoping I can get box plans from him or DJ. Wiring is going to be from knu. 4awg for the AQ amp and 1/0 for the Big 3. If I can stretch my budget a little I'm thinking about grabbing a Kinetik for the back or to replace my batt up front. Think it will be necessary? Grand Cherokee stock alt's I assume are within the 110-130amp ballpark depending on the edition. I will most likely install everything first and then see if I get voltage problems, and if I do incur problems I'll take it from there. But for now I'm just pre-planning. If anyone has anything to chime in on about these plans feel free! I am open to ideas, but I'm almost certain I'm sticking with AQ. Cheers. -- Peter
