I have a Pioneer Premier DEH-P500UB that I use strictly for MP3 playback via the USB cable and an 8 GB thumb drive. The problem I am having is that some MP3s play just fine while others don't play at all. All of my MP3s are a constant bit-rate of 128, 160, 192, or 256 kbps with ID3 v1/v2 tags. An example - I get a fair amount of music from Amazon MP3 (it's cheap and DRM free!!). They download as 256kbps with v2 tags. One album may play while another does not. I have verified the thumb drive is FAT32, checked for invalid characters in the filename and/or ID3 tag, and made sure the bit-rates are supported by the HU. I have also compared those songs that play against those that do not. I cannot find any differences. And...these MP3s play fine when burned to a CD as MP3s. So does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on what I can check? Thanks!
