Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS Video bypass question

first off, I am a totally new to car stereos, well, I haven't touched any type of installation in over 20 years. I just had a Pioneer head unit installed in my 2006 GMC truck. Everything is great but I would like to be able to view video without using the emergency brake crap that Pioneer uses as a safety feature. I have seen online that I can buy a relay or something that will bypass this feature pretty easily. I think I can do this on my own without hurting anything.

My question is do I have to tear the head unit back out to do this bypass work or will most of the work be doable just under the dash. I don't really want to tear the thing out. Every time I remove a piece of molding I break tabs off. Just unlucky.

What do you guys suggest?

Thanks.

Patrick

My friend did it somehow with out buying anything but I forget but yes you will more than likely have to take it out, maybe if you read then diagram you can find which one is for the parking brake feature

you will need to take it out to be able to hook it up to the remote turn on wire for the radio and you will need to ground the bypass also but other than that its pretty easy hook up the turn on wire from the radio to the bypass hook up your parking brake wire to the radio and hook up your ground
