My question is why do i experience night and day difference between them. The sound quality of a head unit launched in 2006 is way better than a unit launched in 2012. Both are 5v head units. Both have the same 24 bit burr brown dac. And yes i have read the complete manual of 80prs and done everything i could in settings but still the p80rs sounds more warm and punchy than 80prs. The 80prs sounds like an AV reciever(in stereo mode ofcourse) whereas p80rs sounds like a very expensive tube amplifier. I really need some sort of detailed explanation. Am i comparing apples with oranges?

Thanks in advance.
