Correction, his argument on THIS subject is that Americans take more sick days than employees overseas. It's already been proven when you eliminate "sick pay", less sick days are taken. It's not an issue with American vs Foreign workers, it's an issue with "sick pay", PTO and no pay for sick days. I'm a firm believer in, "you don't work, you don't eat", by the way. Correct. The "new debate" within his debate (i.e. rebuttle) is WHY is it cheaper? If you can answer that, you can start to solve the "problem" within. His argument is that it benefits the world economy by making business cheaper overseas. That, my friend, is where the flaw lies. Again, exactly how is it cheaper, spell it out. List every aspect that makes it cheaper, weigh out all the costs, then lets discuss monetary value of american business vs. overseas business. THEN let's discuss the issue of how it benefits or hurts the world/us economy. Negative ghostrider. I'm simiply asking how is it cheaper and in what ways can American business combat that. I'm not saying a $1 per hour labor force is more costly than our $35 per hour union force -- but I AM saying that it most certainly does not benefit the world economy nor does it fix the problem within....nor does it prove that foreign goods are of better quality (i.e. his initial argument)
