I bhave done it before but usually try to say "i have heard" or "i have been told" this way they can (and betta) interperete that i have yet to personally use it but i hear good things about it.

o-well ....... some like this some like that ....... as long as these companies keep getting people ot buy......... everyone is going to think someone ***** and someone is better........ also it all depends on good and bad esperiences too..
had bad experience w/kenwood subs, amp, and hu so now hate all their brands so i talk bad about them
can't stand price of memphis amp's but still give them their props....
haven't heard a 12L7 yet, but everyone tells me it sounds like crap and a L5 is better..
sooooooo -therefore i try to hear everything for myself so i can just see what I LIKE, HAHA

unlike you guys, i got lots of dealers around here that sells great stuff. my local crystal mobilesound dealer is just down the block. across that, there is the alpine/mbquart/pioneer dealers. yes i got to see the almighty Alpine CDA-7990 with all its gadget, but too bad i wasn't hooked up. it was in like a 1.25" thick plexiglass cover. guess they don't want people to mess around with it.

I live in a pretty small town, and we also have a crapload of shops. 7, not including Best buy & circuit city. Most of the shops sell pretty good stuff and everyones prices are OK because everyone competes for business. But even locally, there are ALOT of HATERS that simply don't like certain brands because a certain shop carries these brands. In 40 mins. of drving disance i have TWO shops. One sells MA Audio and Crossfire Audio and Kenwood HU's. Nothing else there. The other sells Kicker, JL Audio, DEI, and then JVC, Pioneer HU's. They have (maybe now its had) some earthquake 15's and a grip of old Eclipse stuff (no titaniums though). Also used to have Clarion. Tha Car Audio shops around here are just non-existant. Thats why Steve needs to move here and show the rednecks Adire, Orion, JBL, MB Quart, Rainbow, Eclipse, and other kick ass audio goodies.
