okay, i went ot my local shop to get some distro blocks and all. i got an inline fuse holder with 300a fuse because they didnt have anything else, and i got a distro block then i got a 100a fuse until they can get some bigger ones, i got some terminals, and some 4 ga wire(6-7 feet) for right around 50$, now all i need is some 1/0 wire and im set prob(kinda) i got the amp installed, but im still using my 4ga right now until i get the 1/0, so i have my old fuse holder with an 80 amp maxi fuse, i take out my viper and finish that up run 4ga to amp finish wires and such, so i get my dmm and set the gain (since i want 1800 watts @1ohm 1800x1 then square root right, so i get 42.4 or something i think) then i check it, but i think 1 thing, does that 4 ga let enough power go through so that im not turning the gain up too high to get the right number? would it be clipping? ( i usuall dont turn it up past 26 even when showing people, so i set it there, i will set it at 30 tomorrow prolly now another question, i dont think an amp has much to do with the way your setup sound, but now i have more higher bass and less lower bass, i dont really under stand this, and it also dosent sound as a couple answers 1: i moved the box foward like 2 inches 2: i undid the ground on the batt so i lost everything on my cd player, but i think i got it all back except for the high frequencies on the eq 3:the knobs on the amp arnt set right(i dont think so, the ssf is right in the middle between 40 and 15 hz so around 27.5 or so and box is tuned to 32hz 4: anything else?? can anyone answer these for me, it was really dark and i couldnt see much, so i dont know if everything is set right but i will get up tomorrow and check it out some, because its a little louder but i need some help and some light to finish everything, and how much will the 1/0 help, im confused a little because it dosent seem much louder, i dont think its getting enough power or something, any help
