Straight and to the point. I've been out of car-audio since 1991 (gasp!) and the amount of new stuff out is almost ridiculous. I'm finally in the position to put together a system I've always wanted (actually better now). After installing multiple a/d/s systems back-in-da-day, I searched and searched for a whatever old-school (OS) a/d/s equipment I could find. No luck, except on the amp. Vehicle: 98 F-150 extended cab 4x4. Lifted, 35's, Lightning motor Equipment: Alpine CDE-9852, Audiocontrol 3.1, a/d/s P6.25, Soundstream Rubicon Angina, MB Quart DWE 254, Morel Dotech MKII 6 (2). JL Audio Power wire, KnuKonceptz RCA, ect. Additionally, I did the entire cab with Second Skin Damplifier pro, back of all panels with Frost King (closed cell rubber foam), a second layer of nuprene rubber foam (similar to mouse pad stuff, just thinner), along with acoustical wedge foam, 1", between the panels and behind the rear seat. Very very quiet inside the truck, quite pleased. Now, all the equipment is currently laying here in the back office floor, I'll start the install next week. I'll probably get a bit of grief about the quart sub, but I'm not looking to move the windshield either. I'll be building the box so that it'll replace the factory rear lower seat mounts, and I'm assuming that's also going to be the best spot to mount the amps (?). Since I'm using a single 10, should I build the box where the sub face front, rear, down (insert feedback here). Also, I absolutely love the morels, at the store. I could not find any original a/d/s components to my disappointment. That said, the morels kill whatever I remember of the a/d/s, I'm just not sure about the crossover. I did find on evilBay a modified a/d/s crossover with 12db lp and 18db hp (or was that vice versa?) that I'm considering for the front stage components only. Any feedback on tweeter placement in the F150? I'm tossing around the idea of adding a 3rd set of morels in Q-logic kick panels and running the a/d/s on all 6 channels, instead of bridging it to 4. Anyway, the morels have me excited about car audio again. This has been a great board to research, I just wish I had the oppotunity to audition Rainbows, Focals, ect, so the only comparison I had at the time of purchase was Boston Pros, and personally (understand the use of that word here), I felt the morels made the bostons sound like audiovox components. Very smooth, very mellow, with the ability to play the same very loud. Feedback or additional ideas are much appreciated. Thanks for reading - Steve
