By the time I have to re cone them it’s simply because the spider becomes too weak and after half an hour they will start to get aburning smell, then as the days go on it’ll go from half hour to 20 minutes before they smell, then to 10 minutes and to 5 minutes.. before they finally detonate.I understand these are competition rated subs and maybe aren’t supposed to be playing as long as I have them (30-40 mins) on my way home from work 5-6 days a week tuned to 80hz.should I drop them down to 40hz? Could it be since I have more higher notes being processed that it’s wearing down quicker?I would really love some insight on these things. I just got a pair of dc XLs 2200rms/4400 peak I’m gonna swap them out for soon but I just can’t believe these subs are this garbage, I want to believe and I really hope it’s an error on my part, because I would love to keep continuing to use these HCCAS</blockquote>
