well, if you want to know about hollywood excrusions, I have some insite as to wheather or not they are worth it. I bought a pair or 1280d's together, they should have handled each 400rms and 800 peak, (800rms, 1600peak combined) but, I dont think so. they are worth it if you are not going to blast the hell out of them ok. they bump, they go low, they sound nice with rock just dont try to be cool and get a amp that can f^ck them up. they wont last too long like that, trust me. I havent had them for a year yet. those guys that hit high numbers put them in a custom box, and I could have done that too but they still would have blown and I would probably be the record holder, so if you think that those subs can do that without the special box your wrong. the box is the key to records, not the subs. I blew both. and I think they sound good, but dont think that they cam do much more, because the really must have a crappy coil. , if you get these subs try to get a custom box, and dont try to go too much over the rms vaule. they arnt ment to blow competition. now, I have to find some sub that can handle my amp, andI know that is going to be exspensive. the rms is 500@ 4 ohms 750 peak @ 4 ohms. 750@2ohms 1000peak@2ohms 1000rms@1ohm 1500peak@1ohm and I blew them with the 2ohms set up. some one suggested that I get the mtx subs, I would like some opinions on that idea, thanks
