This normally wouldn't bother me except for the fact that they know that i know alot about it, and they come up to me saying things like "Man i just ordered this sweet Audiobahn, it will kick your XXX's ass..." or something completely retarded like that. It evens out when you come to head-to-head competition. The over-hyped name brand subs that everyone and their mothers has get whooped by a subs that "no one" has heard of i.e. Adire, RE, ED, ONYX, Treo, the list goes on forever...

Then again, I am anti-popularity when it comes to everything. One of those "always has to be underground" kind of losers.

I went to this car audio shop down the road just now, someone here wanted to buy a cheap second hand deck (OEM) and bumped into an audiobahn dealer... man, was he full of crap.

When he started raving about how good the bahns were, I casually remarked "yeah, for SPL" and then he goes on to tell me how Audiobahn's range since 2001 has been upgraded with top-notch this and that and so the SQ is up there with the best.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

my friend wants to get a sub and an amp for his car , he thinks he is the best person who knows about car audio in the world . i told him to wait and look around before buying anything so he cant get the best sub and amp for his money , then he says ok .

we go to some shops(Pioneer,kenwood,sony,JBL,infinity) we even checked out some panasonic subs ! so i tell him to get the 10 inch Pioneer Priemer sub with a Good pioneer priemer amp or the infinity kappa perfect 10 inch sub, he says great ok when i get my salary i ll go down with u to the shop so the man over there can do the installation for us .

after a week or so he goes with a dumb person and then he calls me and says that he found the BEST enclosure ever and cheaper than the one that i told him ( I thought he was gonna say a few JLAudio`s powered with a Jbl 1200) he said its a pioneer sub (that says 400Watts on the cone and it has two tweeters(Pioneer also) in the same enclosure on the sides , with a small red sony amp (the one that says 444Watts on it) cheap shi* (rated 80 rms) , and my friend tells me that its very good (he didnt hear it or know that about 80-90Rms max is going to the sub) he says its enough for his car and the tweeters look nice with their silver look !

i told him that he wont Hear the tweetrs since the box will be in the trunk and secondly the sub ***** and it looks old (2years maybe more) plus i never saw a review or a pic of that sub on the net or in a magazine !

but he is still happy with the sub and tweeters(he thinks they will sound so loud that he even cant turn the vol up) and he thinks of getting them in a few days .

hell yeah. here in Florida it's all about money and bling bling, flashy stuff. so i made my own ported box, and bought a XXX 12. all my friends are telling my i'm crazy and i should just go get two audiobahn flame's or whatever they call them. i said no, that stuff *****. mine'll be louder...just you wait. well my sub came in and sat in my room for about a month and they were all AMAZED at the size of the magnet. then i put it in my car, and it's louder than all my friends with 2 12's flames. They all ask me why i like my bass so loud when they come in the car. sometimes when it's a low bass freq. i can get them to kinda jump and make their shoulders go up to their head...like it hurt their ears really bad or something. just goes to show you how ignorant people can be

another advantage of having equipment that's somewhat DL, is that people won't want to steal it if they don't htink they can sell it. I have to worry about this because there are a few ****ers at my school that steal car audio ****. Like, for instance, I sold 2 12" Alpine type R's to my friend in a sealed enclosure, and since the guys knew about the brand and the quality, they immediately wanted to steal them.

But when I say, "I got a 15" Adire Audio Brahma," or "It's no use because you've never heard of it," word doesn't get around to the ******* thieves.

my friends are idiots. 4 have bandpass boxes (2 with sony subs) and i tell them that they **** and then one is actually building a bp box into his tbird (looks sweet but will probaly sound like ****) and then all of them think audiobahn is awesum cuz of the 1000 watts rms.

2 blew out there alts and then even one of them replaced it with probaly the same size of alt that he blew.

one has 2 concepts in bp, one has 2 12'sonys in bp with 2 10'concepts in a huge sealed box with 2 10' something pro subs, another has my old 2 12' sonys in bp with a $300 xplod amp from VK but he bought the subs for $130 from me and he even saw them on ikesound for 55 bucks each. he says he is getting audiobahns now. lol and a huge amp then he will blow out his alternator again then he says he is getting a power cap. SOME PEOPLE JUST CAN'T STAND THE FACT THAT OTHERS ARE SMARTER.

the one that is building a bandpass box took out the backrest of the backseat and the subs fire at angles. looks awesum but he is getting audiobahns.

then the one kid with like 6 subs and the bp box said he hit 140 with his sonys in a sealed box with 200 watts rms to each sub. ******** i know. then he said the next year he had the same stuff except he had the bandpass box and he hit 136. funny ****
