So, I can't find the thread I made a few months back... probably got deleted when one of the mods *no names mentioned* deleted a couple thousand of my posts. I just wanted to continue this conversation... Lately, I've been listening to a lot of The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and Yes. One thing that took me by surprise is the movie "Across the Universe." It was basically a 2-hour music video where they brought about 30 Beatles tracks to life. It's amazing that 40 years later, their songs are still being remade, and are just so **** good. For anyone who wants a new take on Beatles songs, check out that soundtrack. One thing that I love about the aforementioned bands was their variety. My dad said that so many artists made their albums "Musical Buffets" to where there would be something that appealed to most. For example, I didn't even know that Eminence Front was even done by The Who... because Rick Wakeman sang that one! Pink Floyd is my new favorite. Their music is so harmonious. It is just amazing. I can't even describe it. There's just nothing new that can touch it. Yes, Tool and all those others you brought up are good bands and all, but they just can't touch the stuff from the Classic Rock era.
