I had 4 8" subs in a 1980 Civic Hatchback....The box was actually made too long so I had to lay my back seat down for it to fit in there...I had them powered by a Sherwood 70 + 70 amp...Unfortunately, this system ended up getting stolen too......I had a friend who had that Sanyo 50+50 hooked up to 4 12's in a 1981 Accord Hatchback....I can remember one time I rode around with him and he was setting off buidling alarms with it.....I also remember how systems always sounded so good in those "Smokey &amp; The Bandit" TA's....So many people ran "free air" subs back then...I know that I sure did....VW Rabbits were very popular and guys would mount their subs in the cardboard-ish type of hatch cover.....That was abviously WAY before the subs had huge magnets like we see today!!
