It's always funny when people speak out against every single negative aspect of a team. 2009 Broncos: The entire organization was in turmoil after the firing of a Hall Of Fame level coach and loss of a young franchise QB. The "new guy" they brought in alienated several key offensive players throughout the course of the season but somehow coached the team to a nice start with a less than stellar starting QB. The terrible 2008 Broncos defense was revamped into something special. Their rookie RB didn't pan out as quickly as many thought (although I still think Knowshon has big things in his future). Fans and players alike are not happy with Josh McDaniels. If McDaniels will stop throwing his weight around, the Denver Broncos have enough weapons to play solid football. They also have the #11 pick in this season's draft. They can possibly snatch up a solid QB or WR for trade bait or add another stud to their defensive unit. 2009 Chicago Bears: Our young QB & RB had to play behind a thrown together at the last minute offensive line (and it showed). Cutler was torn to shreds by the media because of his failure to protect the football, but he was constantly running for his life and playing with young/unproven WRs (2 true rookies that weren't on the radar coming into the season, a second year guy who failed to see the field in his rookie year and a #1 option who is a converted Special Teams stud/mediocre DB). Despite these glaring weaknesses, Cutler was still able to have one of the most prolific passing seasons in Bears team history. Furthermore, two of our 3 starting linebackers were injured early and that destroyed our defense. Also, the mediocrity of our coaching staff has FINALLY been called into question and several of those idiots have been sent packing. Mike Tice has been brought in to coach our offensive line and the guy knows what he's doing. Hopefully management will follow up with nice OC and DC acquisitions as well. We need a couple good offensive linemen, a true #1 WR and new offensive and defensive coordinators........and Bill Cowher in 2011.
