[QUOTE="Daddie O, post: 8216843, member: 659271"] Okay, so the install hit a slight hiccup. Got everything wired and went to turn it on and nothing, no sound. So the installer busts out his tester and checks out the amp. He then says he thinks it is the remote wire. So he pulls the deck and tests the remote wire, and he says you have a bad deck, there is nothing coming out of the remote wire, and when I give power to it then your amp turns on and you hear music from the speakers. He says go to Best Buy and have them swap out the bad deck for a good one and then come back in the morning and I will tune the amp and finish mounting it. So I go to Best Buy feeling pretty disappointed that I have spent so much time and money and don't even have tunes. The Best Buy installer was still there, and he says I doubt you have a bad deck, and I bet I know what he did wrong. The amp installer thought the blue wire was the remote turn on, but it was the wire for a power antenna. The remote wire is a blue wire with white stripe on Kenwoods. So the Best Buy guy connects the amp remote turn on to the correct wire and presto, I have sound! Of course the amp is tuned way low so I'm not enjoying and good sound yet, but tomorrow morning I will go back to the amp installer and have him tune and mount the amp, connect the sub, and I should be good to go.
