I had factory 6x9's in my front doors, so i deadened the door really well and put 6x9 subs in there. I didn't actually buy a component set... I mixed and matched speakers to make a component set that sounds good. I'm also running them with an active crossover- all the filtering occurs on the RCA's, not the speaker wires. It's a bunch more adjustable than a passive crossover network, but also requires 6 channels of amplification.The MBQs sound awesome, but there ain't a thing in the world wrong with Focals.
