First off I want to start by saying I will be installing in a 2000 Dodge Durango.. I am VERY new to the car audio scene. Ill give a run down on what I'm looking for. So after I installed: Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P6900UB (with 30gb Ipod video) Speakers: Pioneer TS-A1682R x4 After installing just the head unit I could tell a difference! Then after the speakers went in I was a little disappointed, not much of a change (could be the EQ settings with the unit, im lost with those).. Anyway I need help picking out amp/s and sub/s.. I listen to a lot of different music mostly rock and rap. I don't need top of the line, but I to sound good. I really want to go with a sub thats already enclosed since I know nothing about making them. I was looking at the Kicker SOLO-BARIC.. Price is really not to big a deal, looking to spend 500-700 max on sub and amp.. Some questions I have: What size sub should I go with? (I don't want to shake the block, but i wana feel it) If I want to amp all my speakers and a Sub do I HAVE to get a 5 chann amp? ( I have read about mono amps, but i wana keep it easy for me, this will be my 1st install) Will hooking my spakers to an amp make this big of a difference since the head unit is an amp itself? I know I have more questions, but I'll start here..
