The alt doesnt get pushed beyond what it can do.  However Extra battery reserve helps out amps immensely.  No substitute for an alt but at your amount of power, unless your alt is a 80 amp alt, it shouldnt need a big high output alt.  Maybe find an alternator rebuild shop and get your current alt beefed up.</p></blockquote><p></p>
