[QUOTE="gigispeed1332, post: 8307445, member: 662773"] I have never had any sort of system installed and am looking into getting one put into my 2002 Honda Civic. Ill just try to explain what I am willing to spend and what I am looking for. My maximum spending limit is probably like 800 or so (for equipment only). If you want to recommend something slightly higher than this though go ahead, since I am able to maybe get a discount from the listed rate for some of this stuff through a friend. Anyway enough of that and onto the important stuff. I am a music lover, and listen to all kinds of music from 60s rock like The Doors, The Beatles, Cream, The Who etc to the Jazz greats like Miles Davis and Charles Mingus to the Punk Rock and New Wave of the 70s/80s and I also love Hip Hop. Point is, I listen to everything and have a very eclectic taste. I want the music to sound like it is supposed to sound and how the musicians intended to sound. I do not want overbearing bass (although if I had the option to turn up the bass for stuff like Hip Hop and Bob Marley and Pfunk, I certainly wouldn't complain). So basically I want nice punchy bass but not overbearing bass and I am looking for something as high quality as I can go within my price range with this style of sound. For terms of loudness, I probably want it to be able to go reasonable loud, but it doesn't need to be at insane levels, sound quality is a more important to me than loudness. If anyone has any recommendations, I would love to hear them as I am just starting to look into stuff. And If you need any more information also let me know, Ill respond the best I can. Thanks.
