[QUOTE="lamecrap, post: 2038509, member: 569826"] calling all people who know what the hell they are doing, unlike me, lol I just bought a pair of audiobahn as69Q 6x9s and installed them in my rear deck. I had to remove the insulation that surrounded the old speakers due to the size of the magnets on the new ones. The new 6x9s sound distorted when I have the balance centered, but when I have just one speaker on, left or right, they sound great. I am about %75 confident that my wiring was done properly. I figured that my stock tape deck wasnt pushing enough power for my speakers, they are rated at 200 watts RMS. I went out and had a pioneer headunit installed thinking that would correct the problem, but I still have the same problem, sounds better with just the left or the right rear on though. Am I still not pushing enough power to the 6x9s? Could my wiring be bad? where can I find new insulation for my rear deck speakers? why am I such an idiot? who are you people? and how did I get here?
