Hello, I'm fairly new to car audio. I installed my first system a few months ago. No big deal. Just replaced a head unit and stock speakers. I've got an old work truck that I would like to put a new system in. It's a 1992 regular cab Dodge 250 with a factory AM/FM stereo. It gets one channel and the speakers are blown. Sweet. Here's what my plan is: Headunit - Alpine iDA-X100 It's what I've got in my other vehicle and I love it Speakers - 6X9s in the door Looking at these but open to suggestions http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6576_Alpine+SPS-69C3.html Amps - I have two old amps left over from an older installation Orion Cobalt CS 150.2 POWER OUTPUT 1 x 75 @ 4 Ohm 2 x 150 @ 2 Ohm 1 x 300 @ 4 Ohm SIGNAL PROCESSING Continuously variable high pass (30Hz - 1kHz) or low-pass (30Hz - 2.5kHz) FUSE SIZE (1) 25 And.. Orion Cobalt CS 200.4 POWER OUTPUT 4 x 62 @ 4 Ohm 4 x 125 @ 2 Ohm 2 x 62 & 1 x 250 @ 4 Ohm 2 x 250 @ 4 Ohm SIGNAL PROCESSING Dual Low or High-pass 45Hz to 5kHz FUSE SIZE (2) 20 ATC I figure the 4 channel is fine for the 6X9s but I'm not sure about that 2 channel. It is fairly low power. Before it was used to power 2 8" subs in a custom enclosure. Would it be able to power 2 10"s? If so what subs should I look at? Also, I want to build my own enclosure. I've looked around the internet but didn't find anything great on building my own. I downloaded WinISD. Seems like a good program. Are there any others? Good websites that give tutorials? Thanks for reading my long post.
