I agree having a new box isn't a bad idea and have plans to get a new one but back to my point anyway, I like the way they sound they're punchy enough and the tuning doesn't bother me. It's a kicker amp so it has a set subsonic filter (on off switch) its 25hz at a 12db octave. I plan to buy a new amp so I will take your advice. Until then can someone answer my question, it's been cold here (below freezing) so maybe the subwoofers didn't heat up enough during the week long break in period to melt off the excess glue. It isn't a "bitter" smell it's sweet and the smell remains even after the sub is in the cold and off for hours. Basically I'm asking for the set-up the way it is, is the smell normal and is the cone getting VERY VERY lightly warm after heavy play normal?
