Hi guys. I have a 1997 Chevy 3500 regular cab truck and I am wanting to put a premium audio system in it. Now, with a regular cab of course the subs are an issue due to lack of space. It currently has a bench seat but I will be swapping those with buckets when I find a decent set. No center console will be going in so I will have some nice room there. But she is a standard ***** so I have the shifter kinda in the way for a huge elaborate box. But I don't really want that either. Now, I dont know much about this stuff so I have no idea what amp I need for what subs or whatever, thats why I came here. Heres a short list of what I am looking to put in it. Double din touchscreen header New speakers in the entire cab Sub (s) Amp Tweeters I am wanting a very premium system, smooth and clear but with enough bass to scare women and small children lol. Again, I don't really know what I am doing here. I have no idea whats a good layout or what brands are the best, what other things I need that I don't know of. I will be putting bucket seats in and I will not be installing a center console per say but I do want one. I was kind of thinking of making a sub box for between the seats that has a small console area with flip up lid and a couple cub holders. Can I fit two subs possibly? Would one sub be sufficient? How big of Subs can I get possibly? I want to push this thing HARD, will I need a stronger alternator or any extra bits for the wiring? Do I risk overheating things running them too hard? Sorry for all the newb questions but I know next to nothing about this. Thanks for any and all help yall can provide!
