I sold my last ride, and now am in search for a new front stage. I already have my substage siting in my room: Two 12in TC1000s with a Mmats D1500.2 mono amp to power them. They will be going in a custom sealed enclosure with a net cf volume of 1.1cf. Now, I need a new head unit, comp set, and amp to power the comsp. I am going to leave this thread to just the comp set I am looking for. Here is what it needs to be: 6.5in 2 way comp set. This is going into a 1999 Camaro coupe. I know there are a lot of people with f-bodies on here, so if any of you come across this thread let me know if there is any mounting depth issues I am unaware of. My truck had deep doors so there was no issue there. My last comp set were the Image Dynamics 6.5 Chameleons, and this is the best front stage I have ever had. I kind of want to get speakers on par (or better of course) to the IDs. I plan on getting a 4 channel amp and bridging it to a 4 ohm load, as that seems to be the cheapest way to get uber power at a 4 ohm load. I am looking to give 125-200 watts rms to each side. I also liked the silk tweeter a lot of the ID speaker, as all of my prior comps were metal dome, and even though they were very detailed, they were harsh. But I am still willing to look into metal domes as long as they are not too harsh. So give me an idea guys. I have been out of the Component realm for a bit, and am not sure what is really good out there anymore as of now. I head a/d/s had some good deals going on? Any help on what to look for would be great guys. Any recommendations are welcome
