Hello everyone. Getting back into car audio from years of being out of it.... I have come to realize, absolutely nothing I knew from the '80's-'90's is applicable these days... so learning all over from square one. Hoping I can find some help here on the forums to guide me (and educate me) moving forward. Thank you in advance, and hopefully I can help some people down the road. Oh, and if anyone needs help understanding how to rewind a cassette with a pencil, I can walk you thru that, or even what to do when your 8-Track eats a cassette, I can advise there too! :p Current Project: 1970 Olds 442 (haven't started installing yet, collecting pieces) HU: Alpine CDE-175BT (waiting on shipment of Pioneer DEH-80PRS) Front Components: JBL GTO 600C 6.5" Center Channel in Dash: Alpine Reference 9622ix 6x9 (Still Deciding) Rear Channel in Rear Window: JBL GTO 939 6x9's Now, in an effort to be totally transparent... I only bought the products mentioned above because I'm trying to get everything in the car, setup, and learn about tuning.... Eventually, most of these products will be moved to my other 1971 Cutlass (daily driver). I'm hoping for advice on an Amp with a DSP, for example a HELIX, or JL Vxi series... maybe AudioControl, but they don't look that great after reading this forum. Also, I'm currently looking for advice on subwoofers. I'm a heavy metal guy, and I like it very loud (wake the dead loud). So any help anyone can provide regarding Amp selection or sub selection or any advice in general, I'm happy to take under advisement. Sorry for the long introduction, just really excited to get back into this after so many years of listening to crap stock sound systems. :)
