Hello everyone. So I went back to the shop and they fixed the general issues I was having. Sound system sounds great, however one thing was brought up about my amp powering my single W6v3. I currently have the RD 1500/1 which is great but I was told that its way too overkill for a single w6 and I might be better off exchanging it for the HD series. I contacted crutchfield and they are willing to do an exchange. But I have 2 options. the HD 1200/1 or HD 750/1. The shop guy said if I have the funds it would be better to go with the HD series for a cleaner signal and cleaner bass sound and power. Both amps are a little more expensive but I do have a really high budget and am willing to upgrade and swap. Would the HD 1200/1 damage the sub since its rated at 1200RMS and the W6v3 says 600rms? It is my understanding that JL underates their subs and they can actually use more power. I just want to provide enough power to my sub while at the same time have it sound great! I was debating on getting another W6 but I'm perfectly happy with a single sub. Also looking into a Helix DSP but unsure on which to get.
