[QUOTE="Sephious, post: 7302232, member: 632635"] So I've been piecing together a car audio system, and figured I'd give the experts around here the chance to give their opinions. First and foremost, I will say I'm an SQ ***** more than an SPL *****. My home theatre setup makes most people I know weep. Secondly, I'll say that I have a 2007 Mazda 3 and I've decided to keep the stock head unit. The reason being is I'd like to keep control over the LCD screen that is in there. I've purchased the converter to convert the harness to RCA outputs for easy connection to an amp or two. I've also purchased CDT Audio CL61A-25 Pro components and a Hifonics ZXI6010. What I haven't decided on is the sub/box-type/amp for the sub. I have pretty much no requirements other than to keep it in a reasonable price range compared to my other gear, and that I want it to be as small as possible to keep usable trunk space to a maximum. That's where you guys come in. I've been told that two SA 8" subs in a custom ported enclosure would do me well. I'm thinking that if I went that route, an AudioQue AQ1200D amp would work well with two dual-4 ohm SA-8's wired down to 1 ohm. What do you guys think? Are there better options for me? Thanks a lot!
